Work Based Learning
My job shadow at YASKAWA was very interesting and enlightening. I learned about a lot of things like robots and tech and I got to use some of the robots. However, I have to say my main take away from the experience altogether was when I was told to be able to do the software and coding portion, you need to know how to deal with and understand hardware. I'd always personally thought of myself as a software or a coder. I never really paid attention to hardware. But when he gave an example of a job interview, I learned I should have some hardware knowledge or certification too because I need to be qualified to deal with the hardware and work with the hardware of a computer to my job better in the future.
I learned that I need to have more knowledge about other parts of the job. I grew in my ability to see what has to come in the future in order to accomplish my goals.
