Welcome to my portfolio!
Hello! My name is Nolan McGillvary! I am a 7th Grade student at the Dayton Reigonal STEM School Welcome to my portfolio! Here on my website will be how I grew this year, information about my school, things I've learned and more. I will also have my portfolio from last year for 6th grade if you would like to take a look at that too. Use the navigation bar at the top to navigate my website to the different pages. If you get lost, use the "return to top" link at the bottom of every page to get back to the top of the page. Below is a picture of me.
Five Qualities
Creativity
Creativity: The ability to use your mind and/or imagination in very artistic ways to use very original ideas in a project, assignment, or other work (this doesn’t mean to be unprofessional if the project requires you to be professional, as most projects here at DRSS do require that you do them professionally. Creativity is not an excuse to get out of being professional; you are still supposed to be professional with your use of your creativity ideas and professional with which ideas you use).
Communication
Communication: Talking things out with another person(s) (usually your group member(s)) about something that has to do with the current task at hand or the current project/work or to inform each other of something.
Collaboration
Collaboration: The ability to work together in a group to the best of your ability by doing things like being honest and compassionate when interacting with others, accepting and improving through other’s feedback, and giving good feedback yourself generally to create something together like a project or some other work.
Persistence
Persistence: Staying focused on something that needs to be completed and using your skills to the best of your ability to complete what you are working on (i.e. these definitions, reading the DRSS’s quality’s definitions to make my own, etc.) and keep the problem-solving process flowing to troubleshoot any problems you may have to end up completing what you were/are focusing on and have done it in a way that makes it help you achieve success in whatever way it is supposed to (i.e. get a good grade, etc.).
Inquiry
Inquiry: Asking for help when you must so you can get information about something especially when you are confused.
